Welcome  to your connection to Norway in the desert.

Arizona Norseman is a diverse network of Norwegian-Americans, Norwegians living here in Arizona, and anyone with an interest in Norway and Scandinavia. Having out as a chapter of the former Nordmanns-Forbundet in 1959 (but now an independent organization!), Arizona Norseman has been connecting our community and promoting the rich national and cultural heritage of Norway in Arizona for over 60 years.

As one of the largest Norwegian groups in Arizona, we host year-round events celebrating Norwegian holidays, traditional food and drink, Scandinavian music and dance, and more. Anyone is welcome, so if you are interested, stop by and say hello! You can dive right in and become a member or come to an event first to see what we're all about. Velkommen!

New Name, Same Local Club!

As of January 1, 2021, our club is officially an independent local organization and no longer a chapter of the former Norwegians Worldwide (NWW) in Oslo. This is due to NWW's recent merger with the Norway-America Association (NORAM) and the resulting shift in mission and goals. While no longer affiliated, we support NORAM and their efforts at fostering trans-Atlantic educational opportunities. You can read about them and their work here.

On the local level, we are the same club you know and love! We see this as an opportunity to focus more efforts and funds on the community we have built right here in the Phoenix metro area and throughout Arizona. While we will no longer be affiliated with a parent organization, our club will continue on as an independent association with an even closer focus on serving the needs and interests of our local members.  You can expect the same dedication to Norwegian cultural heritage with year-round events celebrating Norwegian holidays, traditional food and drink, Scandinavian music and dance, and more. As always, anyone is welcome to join and/or participate! People with Norwegian-American heritage, Norwegians living here in Arizona, and anyone with an interest in Norway and Scandinavia. We can't wait to see you soon!
